Privacy policy
The short version: no cookies, no ad tracking, nothing sold. Visitors are counted anonymously. Advertisers give us what we need to run their ad and take payment, and nothing more.
Who is responsible
The data controller for whoswinningai.com is Mikkel Vejen (Under construction), Hasselhaven 85, Lystrup, Denmark. Contact us about anything in this policy at ads@whoswinningai.com.
If you visit the site
Visitor statistics
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits, see which pages and features are used, and where visitors come from. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data. To count unique visitors, your IP address and browser details are combined with a random key that changes every day, turned into a one-way code, and the IP address itself is discarded. We can’t identify you or follow you across days or other websites. The data is processed by Plausible Insights OÜ in the EU, routed through our own server.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Pick your winner
When you vote, we allow one vote per visitor per day. To do that, your IP address and browser details are combined with a random key that changes every day and turned into a one-way code. At the end of each day (UTC), the key and that day’s codes are deleted. We keep only the vote totals, which can’t be linked to anyone.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a fair vote (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Render, receives your IP address, browser details and the page you asked for whenever your browser loads the site. These logs are kept for a short period to keep the site running and secure.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
What we don’t do
- We don’t use cookies, and the public site stores nothing on your device.
- We don’t load fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Everything comes from whoswinningai.com.
- We don’t sell data or use it for advertising profiles.
Headlines in the news feed link to other websites. Their privacy policies apply when you click through.
If you sign up for email alerts
When you sign up, we store your email address, which emails you chose (a new #1, the Monday recap) and when you signed up and confirmed. We email you only after you click the confirmation link, and only the emails you chose.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe, when we delete your address. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
If you buy an ad
When you book an ad space or pixels, we collect your brand name, the link and image or text for the ad, and your email address. Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive the payment status and your email, but never your full card details.
We use this to review and publish your ad, send receipts, and answer your questions. Your brand name, link and creative are public once the ad is live.
Legal basis: performing our contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and our legal duty to keep accounting records (GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
How long we keep it: booking and payment records are kept for 5 years after the end of the financial year, as Danish bookkeeping law requires. Images for rejected or ended ads are deleted from the site, but may remain in our records for the same period.

Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email ads@whoswinningai.com and we’ll reply within a month. Visitor statistics and votes can’t be traced back to you, so there is nothing personal to retrieve.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, or to the authority in your own country.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
